The Tuscan Market plate carries a ring of hand-drawn ingredients across its wide rim. A halved onion, a slice of lemon, a sprig of black olives, a red bell pepper, a split peapod with peas rolling loose, a long red chilli, sliced cherry tomatoes, broccoli, and a curl of orange peel with fresh herbs. Fine black outlines, colour brushed in by hand, all set against a speckled off-white glaze that gives the surface a warm, earthy, artisanal feel.

The shape is a classic restaurant pasta plate. A wide 9.5 inch rim frames the food, while the deep centre well, 5.3 inches across and 1.6 inches deep, holds pasta, risotto, soup or a generous curry without anything sliding toward the edge. The rim stays clean for the painting to do its work, which is exactly why this shape is used for plating in restaurants.
